Job Description
Seasonal stipend shift firefighter positions for the Fort Jones Fire Department. Anticipated start date June 1st, 2026 through December 1st, 2026 with possible extension based on fire activity. Housing available on site.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, Valid Driver's license with Firefighter endorsement or Commercial Class A or B, CPR/First Responder (minimum), ICS 100 & 200, NIMS 700A & 800, S130 & 190, Minimum 6 months full time or 1 year volunteer firefighting experience or equivalent, Legal eligibility to work in US, Ability to pass arduous work capacity test
Salary: Stipend of $200 per 24-hour shift with opportunities to earn upwards of $45 an hour on fire assignments
