Job Description
Part-time Fire Inspector position (8 hours weekly) performing inspections ensuring compliance with the North Carolina State Fire Prevention Code. Position involves investigating hazardous conditions, preparing inspection reports, designing evacuation plans, and assisting with day-to-day fire department operations under supervision of Assistant Chief/Fire Marshal.
Requirements: NC Standard Level I, II, or III Fire Inspector Certificate, valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED, knowledge of firefighting techniques and fire codes, pre-employment physical and drug test required
Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 / hr. (DOQ)
